About

Old Town 97 South Kensington is at 6 Glendower Place, SW7 3DP, a few steps from South Kensington station, and it is the newer sibling of the Old Town 97 that has been on Wardour Street in Chinatown for years. The cooking is Cantonese and Hong Kong cafe food with South East Asian dishes alongside it: roast duck and roast pork over rice, Hainanese chicken rice, claypot rice, Singapore vermicelli, and the sweet drinks that go with them, from iced lemon tea with honey to soya milk with herbal jelly. It is new enough that the Food Standards Agency register still lists it as awaiting its first hygiene inspection, so there is no rating yet.
