Nominations for Kensington and Chelsea's 2026-27 Mayor's Awards close at 5pm on 18 January 2027. Three categories, a six-person panel, winners in spring.

Nominations are open for this year’s Kensington and Chelsea Mayor’s Awards. They recognise residents, volunteers and groups who have made a real difference to people in the borough.

The deadline is 5pm on Monday 18 January 2027, according to the council’s announcement. Winners will be named at a ceremony in spring 2027.

The three categories

The awards are open to people and groups who help those who live, work, study or visit the borough. There are three categories:

  • Individual Contribution
  • Young Achiever
  • Voluntary and Community Sector Organisation

You can nominate someone through the council’s online form. The Mayor’s Awards page carries the guidance.

Who picks the winners

A six-person panel will judge the nominations:

  • Cllr Janet Evans, Mayor of Kensington and Chelsea
  • Cllr Elizabeth Campbell, Leader of the Council
  • Cllr Monica Press, Leader of the Labour Group
  • Michael Ashe, chief executive of Volunteer Centre Kensington and Chelsea
  • Angela Spence, chief executive of Kensington and Chelsea Social Council
  • Noha Chentouf, Youth Mayor of Kensington and Chelsea

The Mayor said the borough was “full of creative and inspiring individuals and organisations who go above and beyond to selflessly help those around them”.

“Don’t let this opportunity to recognise their efforts pass you by,” she said.
