Paintings and drawings by children in Shatila refugee camp, Beirut, are on show at The Tabernacle, W11, 21 to 24 October. Proceeds go to help the children.

Paintings and drawings made by children who live in Shatila, a Palestinian refugee camp in Beirut, will be shown at The Tabernacle in Notting Hill from Wednesday 21 October to Saturday 24 October.

The exhibition is called From Palestine to Beirut. Charles, one of the organisers, wrote to us to describe it as “a selection of paintings and drawings done by children who live in shatila Palestinian refugee camp in beriut lebanon”, and added that “the proceeds will go to help take care of the kids on the camp”.

When it is open

The poster gives two parts to the week. There is an opening reception on Wednesday 21 October from 5pm to 10pm. After that the exhibition is open from Thursday 22 October to Saturday 24 October, from 12 noon to 10pm each day.

Everything is at The Tabernacle, 34-35 Powis Square, W11 2AY. The poster says the show shares a collection of artwork from children living in Shatila.

Where the money goes

The organisers say the proceeds will help look after the children in the camp. The poster also carries the words “Supporting Basket Beats Borders”. Neither the poster nor the email gives a price for entry or for the artworks, or says how the money will be passed on, so ask the organisers if you want to know before you go.
