London Accordion Orchestra and Germany's Akkordeon-Studio-Orchester Bielefeld play The Tabernacle, Notting Hill, on 25 October at 2pm. Tickets £15 or £12.
Two accordion orchestras, one from London and one from Bielefeld in Germany, are giving a joint afternoon concert at The Tabernacle in Notting Hill on Sunday 25 October.

Bellows Across Borders runs from 2pm to 3:30pm at The Tabernacle, 34-35 Powis Square, W11 2AY. London Accordion Orchestra is the host, and its guests are the Akkordeon-Studio-Orchester Bielefeld.
What they are playing

Ian Watson of London Accordion Orchestra, who wrote to us about the concert, says the programme “spans Big Band classics, film music, Elgar and Holst, and original works for accordion orchestra.”
The event listing on The Tabernacle’s website explains where the title comes from. It is “the latest concert in their ‘Bellows Across Borders’ concert series, showcasing some of the best accordion orchestras from around the world,” the orchestra says. “This year, they welcome the superb Akkordeon-Studio-Orchester Bielefeld from Germany.”
To hear the host orchestra before you book, London Accordion Orchestra has sent us two of its own recordings: one from Innsbruck in 2019 and one from Union Chapel in Islington.

The orchestra has not published a running order or the names of the individual pieces, so if you are going for one particular work, ask before you book.
Tickets

The concert poster gives two prices, £15 and £12, with tickets sold through TicketSource. The poster does not say who the £12 ticket is for, and the TicketSource page would not load for us when we checked on 27 September, so confirm the concession terms when you buy. The Tabernacle’s event page also links to the booking page.
